HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY ROCKY HORROR!

The 50th Anniversary production of iconic Rock ‘n’ Roll musical The Rocky Horror Show brought the party to London’s Peacock Theatre with a spectacular celebratory evening in support of Amnesty International UK.

VIPs and Rocky fans donned their favourite fishnets and suspenders and headed up the red carpet for the show’s hotly anticipated return to the Capital.

Narrators on the night included original cast members Little Nell (original Columbia) and Rayner Bourton (original Rocky), special guests Steve Pemberton and Brian Cox, and Rocky alumni David Bedella, Philip Franks and Jackie Clune.

More members of the original cast were brought onto the stage at the end including Patricia Quinn (original Magenta), Paddy O’Hagan (original Eddie/Dr Scott) and Belinda Sinclair (original Janet).

Needless to this, this was an historic night and one almighty birthday bash!

Written and created by Richard O’Brien, The Rocky Horror Show has become one of the world’s favourite musicals and is currently the only contemporary rock musical to celebrate 50 years on stage.

Since it first opened in London in 1973 at the Royal Court’s Theatre Upstairs, The Rocky Horror Show has been continuously on stage somewhere in the world and has paved its way into history as one of the Rock ‘n’ Roll classics of musical theatre.
