Nominations for The Stage Debut Awards have been revealed and we’re thrilled to announce that two of our amazing leading stars have been nominated for awards! These are the only awards to recognise breakthrough theatre talent.
Ben Joyce (pictured below) is nominated in the category of Best Performer in a Musical for Jersey Boys at Trafalgar Theatre.
Ben is also nominated along with Sutton Foster (main image) in the category of Best West End Debut Performer for their roles in Jersey Boys and Anything Goes (at the Barbican Theatre) respectively. This is the only award open to the Public Vote!

The Stage explained why Ben and Sutton were nominated for this award. According to the theatre industry publication, Ben captured Frankie Valli’s soaring falsetto in a performance of passion and urgency in the revival of Jersey Boys, giving a fully committed performance. And already a legend on Broadway, Sutton made her much-anticipated West End debut in the joyful revival of Cole Porter’s classic musical Anything Goes and did not disappoint – her performance “a sheer pleasure to witness”.
Trafalgar Entertainment is also proud to be sponsoring the Award for Best Creative West End Debut.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 18 September.
