Trafalgar Studios has achieved the Gold Recycling Standard for 2019 from First Mile Recycling.  

Over the past year the London venue has recycled 97% of its waste and eliminated single use plastic cups from its bars replacing them with reusable polycarbonate ‘glasses’ and by only offering drinks in glass bottles rather than plastic ones.

Theatre General Manager Martin Scorer, said: “As we all become more environmentally aware, we should all be doing our bit to help prevent climate change and leave a greener footprint on the planet through recycling and plastic elimination. 

“To achieve such a high recycling rate of 97% is a terrific achievement for everyone involved at the venue. That equates to 24,115kg of recycled waste and a CO2 offset of 25.4kg. Our next big goal is to achieve zero waste to landfill.”
