Theatre delegates attended a Creative Industries Panel at The Place in London today (3 June) organised by the Education team from Stagecoach Performing Arts (part of Trafalgar Entertainment).

A key agenda item was to identify the skills that employers within the creative industries sector require in the future workforce.

The event was led by Chase Demmers, Creative Educational Programme Development and Training Executive for Stagecoach Performing Arts and featured a keynote address from Headteacher and author of Empowering Generation Z, Dan Roberts.

Organisations involved in the discussions were Into Film, Global Academy, Trinity College London, Guildford School of Acting, Bird College, Rock School Ltd and the Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as several freelance consultants from within the creative industries.

Chase Demmers said: “We had some great discussions and recommendations from the Panel today that will be summarised in a report that may be used to inform those who are in a position to initiate change and protect pathways in the creative sector for young people.”
