Staff from Stagecoach Performing Arts and Trafalgar Entertainment were at New Wimbledon Theatre last night (28 April) to support the Great British Pantomime Awards 2019.
Now in its third year, the ceremony celebrated everything the British theatre tradition has to offer with a celeb roll call of pantomime royalty and a hilarious array of classic pantomime sketches. A total of 29 gongs were handed out during the ceremony.
Stagecoach Performing Arts sponsored the award for Best Choreography and CEO Sarah Kelly was on hand to present the prize to category winner, Katie Beard, for her work on Cinderella at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.
The ceremony was also opened by a special performance from 16-year-old Sophia from Stagecoach Wimbledon.
Stagecoach Performing Arts CEO, Sarah Kelly, said: ‘We are thrilled to be a part of the Great British Pantomime Awards. A vital part of the Stagecoach ethos is to recognise and celebrate young talent , many of which whom perform in Pantomime each year, so we are especially proud to have been sponsoring the Best Choreography Award. Huge congratulations to Sophia on her opening performance.‘
